Mission to Read

Wife, technophile, bibliophile, and student who obsesses over the latest gadget and political drama. I read compulsively. It's an addiction really. I also blog.

Enamored: Book Two in the Enslaved Trilogy - Shoshanna Evers The first book in this series was mediocre and forgettable, but had a voice that made it enjoyable. The second felt like it had even lost that. It was a bit sexist with the idea that all females have the ability to submit to at least one man and only damage to the female by a male would cause her to be consistently dominant. That being said I liked the dynamic more between Marc and - due to her being able to hold her ground. She is independent and doesn't need him financially, but chooses him all the same. The author does make notes about safe play from condom use to making sure circulation has not been cut off by rope play which is a huge bonus. I'm happy that she makes an effort to be knowledgeable about safety.
