Twice Tempted (Night Prince Series #2)

Twice Tempted - Jeaniene Frost For more reviews check out Mission to Read Favorite Line:“Fourteen hundred and thirty-one."I blinked. "What's that?""The year I was born, which is not, as you'll note, yesterday.” Opinion:I didn't know there was a new Night Prince book out until I made a video discussing my favorite series and included Night Prince as one but said there was only book out, when #bookbff Angela alerted me to a second book out I immediately went and purchased it!This book felt long, but not in a bad way. It could be that I was sneaking pages in during work (internship) and late at night when I should have been asleep. I couldn't stay away from it. I was addicted. When there was a conclusion to a storyline in the middle of the book I was satisfied and would have been happy with it ending there, but I was so incredibly happy that there was another half to finish and this second half had a ton of action!Leila is strong. She is not in any way shape or form a damsel in distress and is an equal sparring partner for Vlad. She doesn't have a witty sarcastic sense of humor I love in heroines, she's more self deprecating which is far from my own humor type, but I enjoy her one liners. But it's not her humor or her strength that makes me love her so much. It's her heart. She has such an expansive heart and she loves absolutely everyone. She is also very protective of her loved ones.Vlad has long been my favorite male in the Night Huntress world. He's sexy, hilarious, and doesn't fool himself about he is *usually*. He's had a violent past and embraces what he's had to do in order to survive in his tumultuous past. He doesn't deny it or stick his head in the sand about his past deeds, he accepts himself even if that means accepting that he hasn't been the best example of gentility. I wish there was a bigger emphasis on secondary characters in this book. They are around, but they don't really add anything to overall story. The plot moved fast throughout the entire book, but at a blazing pace for the second half of this book.Once again this author and series has lived up to it's reputation as one of the best in Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy. I can't wait to get my hands on more books within this world.
