The Goddess Test (Harlequin Teen)

The Goddess Test - Aimee Carter Aimee Carter’s writing is superb and drew me into a world I was reluctant to leave. A world full of magic, Gods, and at the heart of it all family.I’m not sure what I was expecting with this book, but this was not it. It was a million times better than I ever thought it would be.The opening is sad, but in it I found humor. Mainly James and his ketchup we share this obsession.Anything I found annoying was because I hate suspense. I didn’t guess the ending halfway in and for me that is surprising. It was not predictable.Kate is a smart, courageous girl who would do anything for those she loves. No matter what they do to her. Heck, she’ll do anything for anyone. Stranger or not.Henry, was constantly elusive. I still don’t have a good grasp on him, perhaps it’s due to the whole team thing YA seems to do. Team Henry or team James. This will annoy me greatly as she’s an adult and married. We’ll see.I have so much more to say about this book, but it is all spoiler so I’ll leave that for another day.Rating: 4.5/5Read more at missiontoread.com
